Roger Butler, Red Tag Trout Tours

If fishing is your passion, then Roger is your man in Tassie, the person who can provide, in his own words "everything from foot to fly!" Roger was brought to Tasmania from the UK by his parents at the age of four, and he has spent most of his life here.  His father introduced him to the rod when he was a young lad, and he started fly fishing for trout as a teenager. There is barely a stream or river in this fishing nirvana that Roger hasn't fished at some point since he started in the Fifties.  Fortunately for us, Roger started sharing his love and skill with visitors in 1996 when he started Red Tag Trout Tours. In his role with TGALT, Tasmania's fishing guides association, Roger is proud as punch to promote what is arguably the purest strains of wild brown trout in the world in one of the best and variable wild trout fisheries on earth.  Join one of Roger's introductory workshops or join one of his tours, from a day to a week and you will find yourself enjoying every aspect of fly fishing there is, in one of the most beautiful islands in the world.
