Like its neighbouring sister property Woolmers , Brickenden Estate, Tasmania’s oldest farming property, is an outstanding example of convict heritage and today is still a family run farm despite its UNESCO World Heritage Listing. The lovely peaceful location, pretty heritage cottages and rustic cabins make this a superb farm stay close to Launceston yet surrounded by beautiful, open country. Louise and Richard, seventh generations of The Archer family who settled the farm in 1924 could not be more welcoming or delightful. The two Historic Cottages, The Gardeners Cottage and the Coachman's Cottage, sleep two and six respectively. Both come with complimentary port and lovely original features. See Farmstays for details on the lovely Farm Cottages.
