Somercotes Lodge, Ross

An original lodge dating back to 1823 and still in the same family that has run it for 190 years, Somercotes is renowned for its cherry orchards. The B&B has charming accommodatoin in four cottages, each with a log fire.  It is located in the historic settlement of Ross in Tasmania's Midlands, and enjoys a stunning located on the banks of the Macquarie River making it popular with fly fisherman as well as touring visitors. Ross itself is famous for its convict history, including the Female Factory, its wool and its bakery - one of the best scallop pies in Tassie!
