Thalia is a privately-owned wilderness eco lodge for exclusive use, sleeping up eight guests in four bedrooms. 'Eco' in the truest sense of the world, this beautiful beachside lodge near Swansea is absolutely off the grid, and reliant on Tasmania's sun, wind and rain for its energy and water. The four buildings are built from ancient stone and set around an olive tree lined courtyard which gives way to a private white sandy beach and breathtaking views across Great Oyster Bay towards Freycinet and the magical islands of the East Coast of Tasmania. The main building has a library, a huge kitchen/dining room, complete with gourmet pantry and every possible cooking utenisil to satisfy the most ambitious of gourmands. Both the living room and dining room have huge fire places making this retreat a haven for cool autumn and winter days as much as it is the perfect beach location for a secluded summer stay.
